Former members of Big Country - Mark Brzezicki ,Simon Hough and Gil Allen have been bombarded with fans asking will they tour together.

The answer is YES, due to demand the band will be performing an electric set under the banner FROM BIG COUNTRY

THIS IS NOT A BIG COUNTRY TRIBUTE SHOW

THIS IS MARK, GIL & SIMON NOW KNOWN AS FROM BIG COUNTRY

with some very special guests..

The songs deserve to be played by as many people that want to play them. The songs were written for everybody to hear and enjoy, So sit back and enjoy the ride.

Mark alongside Stuart, Tony and Bruce notched up over 20 hit singles and 8 studio albums.

Mark Brzezicki and Tony Butler was asked to Join Big Country in 1981 by Stuart Adamson to play on the debut single "Harvest Home." They hit it off with Stuart, who invited them to join the band. The rest as they say is history.

------------

The word Legend is used by many but the word Legendary has been given to Mark by his Peers. As well as being the foundation and backbone beat behind Big Country, Mark has held centre stage on the drum throne behind Eric Clapton, Midge Ure, The Cult, Procol Harum, Bruce Foxton and may more. He has sat and performed beside Roger Taylor of Queen and Phil Collins of Genesis at the Princes Trust Concert. He has performed on hundreds of sessions for artists including Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey of The Who, plus so many more, He is still regarded as one of the top drummers on the Planet.

-----------------------------

This is a very special union of 4 of the finest musicians performing the ultimate electric homage to the Music of Big Country and the songs of the late great Stuart Adamson.

You can expect songs that has never been played live before along with the classic Big Country hits we all know and love.

The fourth member to join this amazing band is Guitar Genus Ken Nicol. Kens background is to say the least very varied from the realms of Steeleye Span and Magna Carta to Al Stewart. Ken is one of the finest guitar players around.

Steeped in a stunning catalogue of proud and stirring hit songs such as ‘Fields of Fire’, ‘Chance’, ‘In A Big Country’ (which sold 2 million), ‘East Of Eden’ and their biggest UK hit ‘Look Away’, along with massive albums such ‘The Seer’, ‘Steeltown’, ‘Peace In Our Time’ and the triple Grammy –nominated, ‘The Crossing’, Mark and the boys continue to look beyond the next horizon.

In a big country dreams stay with you, like a lover's voice fires the mountainside. Stay alive.

Recent fan review from one of their Acoustic shows.

Big Country's songs were such a huge part of my adolescence, lyrically I think Stuart was a poet and the band's music moves me profoundly, along with the rest of his body of work, which is his legacy and his gift to us all.

I still remember where I was when I heard that he had died. The utter shock and disbelief I felt. So strange that someone I had never met could have such a profound effect on me....

Then to last night, I have to admit to being a little sceptical, could this band do justice to the man and his music?

The answer is a resounding yes.
Simon's voice lent itself so well without trying to emulate the man himself. What a voice!
Ken's playing was sublime, the musicianship was second to none, worth the journey alone, and their solo spots were incredible.

For me it was Mark, and his reflections of Stuart, that made the night so special, the emotion in his voice and on his face as he recounted his memories and spoke so lovingly and respectfully of his friend.

Thank you so much to everyone involved for putting this together. If you're going you're in for a treat.

Lastly, what a great, respectful audience, such lovely people, so much love in the room it was tangible. I wish Stuart was here to see it and feel it. X
